It’s no secret I hate blogs. I wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for Linden Lab and yet another stupid decision.
First they dump the forums on to the blog – which nobody wanted.
Then they dump the blog on to WordPress – which nobody wanted.
Surprise surprise, it doesn’t work properly. Just like everything else Linden Lab tries to do. And it’s costing them money for it to be not working either!
Don’t expect there to be much – if any – activity on this blog. I only had it because Linden Lab decided that because they like blogs and all have one, so should we. Despite, of course, the overwhelming dissent amongst the community over the issue.
After all, if they can’t run a simple forum, or set up a simple blog properly, what hope have they got of this ‘future of the internet’ 3D metaverse junk they keep sprouting.

I wonder if I can comment to my own blog.

Yes, you can. As you can see.
There’s nothing to hate about blogs. They’re a tool, and can be used wisely or unwisely.
Welcome to the blogosphere.

Yeah well… Blogs are a tool, and Lewis behaves like a tool… well, most of the time anyway. I kind of agree with his point, but again he’s gone overboard. Oh well… we’ll see how much he censors (or not)…
Lewis, I wish you good luck in your SLAB campaign… but not so good that you drive my own readers away.

As stated elsewhere, its more to do with SL replacing the forums with the blog.

Well, don’t blame all blogs for the sins of one.

Oh like I said in my other post, there are no doubt blogs that are quite interesting… but however good the SL blog may be considered by those at Linden Lab, there are many of us who do not consider it even close to being a suitable replacement for a forum, whether its the resurrected official LL ones, or official forums hosted by a third party (in a similar way to the blogs being hosted by a third party).

When you sign up for a wordpress ID, the tickbox at the bottom of the page says something along the lines of “I don’t want a blog, just give me a user ID”.

Shep, the only way I could get a signup activated and working in the first place was by ticking the “I want a blog” box … nothing else wanted to work.
